Michelle Piter was born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1997. She holds a BA in Photography from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and is currently pursuing a MA there. Since 2020, she’s been working on her master project “Slowly We Blend”. The series delves into using photography as a tool to explore on hold on to fading memories.

Slowly We Blend.
The memories I have of Georgia are built from what my family has told me. In my mind, I’ve created fabulations from stories I’ve heard throughout the years and glimpses I’ve seen with my own eyes as a child. I play with the idea of exploring a place that doesn’t exist. A place that exists only in the stories of others.
