I am a fashion designer with a cross-cultural background in Asia and Europe, currently based in Antwerp. I graduated with a Master’s degree from the Fashion Department at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, after seven years of intensive training at top fashion institutes in both regions.

My design practice is deeply rooted in emotional storytelling and technical precision. I began my professional journey with an internship at Marrknull, a 2023 LVMH Prize semi-finalist, where I worked on everything from supplier coordination to showroom sales during fashion week. I later became the costume director for the performance Herfst, directed by Ryan Djojokarso, where I designed and produced 26 looks. The performance was nominated as one of the best of the year by the Nederlands Theater Festival in 2024.

In 2023, I founded two fashion service studios—Jade Studio in Belgium and Play-good Atelier in China. These studios provide full-range creative services from design and sampling to manufacturing. I’ve worked with over 20 clients on artistic orders for red carpet, runway, and concept development.

My work explores the emotional afterlife of garments—transforming vintage, second-hand, or unwanted materials into new forms with strong visual narratives. I am especially inspired by subcultures, performance art, and the poetic tension between vulnerability and attitude.

Description

Love Letters to the Unwanted is a collection rooted in emotional transformation. After experiencing personal loss, I found myself unable to create for months. It wasn’t until I began working with second-hand, forgotten garments that I slowly reconnected with my creative voice. As I layered and reshaped each piece, I began to heal—and realized this act of reworking abandoned materials could carry meaning beyond myself.

I’ve always felt a deep emotional connection to vintage garments. Each one holds a history, like a person carrying memories. They sit quietly in shop windows, trying to forget their past while preparing for an unknown future. I see beauty in their vulnerability, their potential for reinvention.

This collection draws inspiration from Liquid Sky and the Club Kids movement—stories of individuals marked by longing and alienation, yet burning with attitude and self-expression. Their wounds don’t disappear; instead, they become part of their power.

Through raw textures, frayed seams, and layered silhouettes, I want to give space to the misfits—the unwanted, the unloved, and those who still dare to love themselves fiercely.
This is not just a collection of clothing. It’s a shelter, a rebellion, and a quiet reminder that heartbreak isn’t the end. It’s where something new begins.
