My current focus and interest is to create a series of digital drawings, which I recreate into the visual that consists from the photos I shoot from my everyday life, found images, and digitally drawn illustrations. I am fascinated by the process of layering the ordinal images and turning them into the visuals with depth and possibilities with evoking stories via Photoshop as a medium. Based on this concept, I’ve created a new digital drawing for this open call, with interpretation of “Relationship” in my own way: combining the photographs of the tropical vegetable, dead plants, worn out wires, which are taken at the town of San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico where I currently live, combining the partial photo of the landscape taken in New York where I used to live, and the photo of plants taken in Helsinki, Finland where I visited last year. These are all visual archive of my daily encounters and fragments of the moments, in relation to each other’s. Each one of the images are mere piece of rather non significance daily encounters, but it could create new abstract reality with own narrative. I found it’s fascinating to re-create a visual that encompassing the correlation of different places and memories, and bringing something new out of them.
