Nick Andrews (•1972, Londen, V.K.) lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium and Saint-Bonnet Troncais, France. He teaches at the painting department of The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (KASKA).

His works derive from his travels throughout historical and contemporary places, based on the high and low culture that brings forth an imaginary, colourful world that he depicts using the principles of the colour wheel.

His paintings have been exhibited and selected in local and mayor international exhibitions. Solo exhibition, ‘Within Me’, Warande, Turnhout (2015) and  group exhibition such as ‘Sanguine, Luc Tuymans on Baroque’ at the Prada Foundation, Milan, Italy(2019), ‘Salon du Peinture’, M HKA (Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp)(2019).

In 2004 he was artist-in-residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts (PDF) in Parijs and in 2008 he was invited for the Beijing Biënnale in China.

In 2010 he was awarded the laureate of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Sciences and Arts (KVAB).

His works are in diverse public collections such as the Flemish parliament, the University of Antwerp, the National Lottery of Belgium.
