Gudrun Somers studied Painting in Antwerp and Plastic Art in Brussels in the 90’s.
She is now active as an Art director and graphic designer for a communication agency and self-employed graphic designer and artist.
Her art is conceptual, socially critical, often feminist, but always with a humorous or graphic, and therefore light-hearted approach.
She works through collage, assemblage, found objects, plaster, paint or clay…
Performance is also no stranger to her.
