Hester Blankestijn studied photography at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. Since 1999 she worked as a professional commercial photographer for different clients mostly in the field of art and design.

Her personal projects explore tableau vivant photography always with a classical visual language where an element of surprise is present, something which is unplanned and develops in front of the camera; a bird who explores the set or in co-creation with other professionals in the field of the arts. These photographs are exhibited and sold in different countries.
