My art is experimental in its relationship to media and genre boundaries. I can incorporate surpricing materials or forms of representation. The work flow is characterized by whims and short circuits, a willingness to try and re-try is constant. My art tends to oscillate in a borderland between abstract and representation. Gesture, figuration and colour are tested in graphite drawings and paintings with a renewed interest in the effects of colour. Right now, I am working in the aftermath of a land art project in which I created a path by walking for six months. Movement and rest are part of that investigation, which can perhaps be described as testing different aspects of fundamental bodily experiences, currently manifested in two-dimensional media.

An acrylic painting on paper. I would like the chair, the red hues and shadow cast to be inviting (to sit down) and the same time also signalling vulnerability. The painting has two leaves glued onto its surface. The painting measures apprx 100 x 70 cm and is painted 2025.
